The short version

Your bakery is yours

We store it so it is there next time. That is all we use it for.

No selling, no ads

Your data is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and Baketly shows no ads.

Two things leave your phone

Photos you scan and questions you ask Baketly go to Google to be read.

Delete it any time

Settings › Account › Delete my account removes everything, for good.

01What Baketly stores

  • Your account: your email address, and a password stored only as a cryptographic hash, so nobody at Baketly can read it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store the identifier they give us, not your password with them.
  • Your bakery: ingredients and their prices, suppliers, recipes, packaging, products, photos you add to recipes, sales, events and their results, your to-do list and your settings. Your chat with Ask Baketly lasts only while the app is open and is cleared the next time you open it.
  • Where you sell: the town or address you type in, used to find bakeries near you. Baketly does not track your location and never asks your phone for it.

02What leaves your phone, and where it goes

  • Photos of nutrition labels are sent to Google's Gemini API to be read. Google processes the image and sends back the text on it.
  • Photos of handwritten recipes are sent to Google's Gemini API the same way, so Baketly can read each line and match it to your pantry. You check every line before anything is added.
  • Questions you ask Baketly are sent to Google's Gemini API with only what is needed to answer them: the figures for that question, your bakery's name, the names and dates of your upcoming events, and the recipes or ingredients you asked about. Your bakery is never sent whole.
  • Changes the chat suggests are made on your phone, not by Google and not by us. Nothing changes until you tap to confirm it.
  • Speech, when you dictate a question, is turned into text by your phone (Apple on iOS). Baketly only gets the text.
  • A customer's email address, when you choose to send them a receipt, goes to Resend, the service that delivers the email, with what they bought, the total and your bakery's name. It is used for that one receipt and not stored afterwards.
  • Prices at nearby bakeries are read from those bakeries' own public websites. Nothing about you is sent to them.

Baketly does not sell your data, does not share it with advertisers, and shows no advertising.

03Baketly on your Wix site

When you add Baketly to your Wix site, Wix tells us which site it was added to and who is signed in, so the same bakery opens in your Wix dashboard and on your iPhone. Baketly uses that only to open your bakery. It does not read your site's visitors, orders or contacts.

04Paying for Pro

Pro is paid through Apple on your iPhone, or through Wix on your Wix site. They take the payment, so Baketly never sees your card. We are only told which plan you are on and when it renews.

05On baketly.com

The website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, and it sets cookies to do that. It doesn't know who you are inside the app, and the app doesn't use it.

06Reminders

Reminders about an event or a shopping list are made and shown by your own phone. Nothing about them is sent anywhere. You can switch them off in Settings.

07Deleting everything

Open Settings › Account › Delete my account. That removes your account and everything in it: recipes, ingredients, sales, events and prices. It cannot be undone. You can also email us and we will do it for you.

08Children

Baketly is for people running a small baking business. It is not meant for children under 13.

09Changes to this policy

If something here changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the app tells you.
